Magic Returns In 2018

For a movie lover like myself, there’s nothing more exciting than getting a glimpse of what’s to come. I have a bad habit of trolling through IMDB’s “coming soon” list, trying to find out what films are soon to be released, or soon to start filming, or just in development.
Teaser Trailers are a great way to increase your excitement about a particular film, especially if it’s a film you are particularly looking forward to seeing. And boy were we spoilt earlier this week?! We were given TWO teaser trailers, both of which I wasn’t expecting to see so early. Disney gave us a sneak peak at two live action films that are coming to theatres later this year…

If you’ve just watched them for the first time, I’ll let it sink in…

…How do you feel?

For me, I instantly felt butterflies, because I know MAGIC is coming back… It’s weird, because I feel as though Walt Disney is back. Is that strange?

Both of these films are NOT remakes, but they are both continuing their stories, and bringing back magic!

Out of the two teasers, the one that surprised me the most, in terms of how I felt, was the Christopher Robin trailer. When I saw and heard Pooh’s voice, I instantly welled up. My eyes were filled with water, but I had the biggest smile on my face. The voice I knew and loved when I was a little girl had returned and HE WAS REAL! I was full of emotion while watching this “Silly Old Bear” brought to life. Just pure MAGIC!

The teaser for Mary Poppins was everything I expected, Emily Blunt IS Mary Poppins, and by that I don’t mean she is like Julie Andrews, because I don’t want her to be Julie Andrews. I want to see her interpretation of the magical nanny, with a few characteristics we will recognise. I can’t wait to hear the music, and see new magical worlds with Mary Poppins.

Fans of cinema, and certainly Disney fans, are being spoilt this year. We have so much to look forward to seeing, I honestly don’t know what Im more excited for, theres just too many! 2018 is 100% going to be a BIG, MAGICAL year for Disney movies, and I’m confident we are not going to be disappointed!

Who’s excited?
